Starting Up

So I am about four weeks into serious training for my first 1/2 Ironman. The plan to race in October at the Great Floridian 1/2 Ironman.

So far the training has been going fairly well. I couldn't get myself to workout, so I took a page out of my friends book and hired a coach! If anyone is having trouble motivating themselves to workout, then I suggest the following...
1) fix on a scary goal (one that you have to train for, not just show up the day of the race and wing it!)
2) hire a coach! For some reason it is a lot easier for me to say "I have to fit this workout in today" when I have to answer to someone other than myself!

Good News: I am feeling more fit and have more enthusiasm about life in general
Bad News: still have that darn baby weight!
